Tuning the Musician

 How to find:

- Ease
- Balance
- Power and speed with optimal muscular effort

The ancient Greek associated muscle tone with the string of an instrument being stretched between two points and having a tone 'tonos', and harmonies 'harmoniai' having a connection to the physical joints, holding a body together. We are used to tuning our instruments, this course will help us to tune ourselves, the musician playing an instrument.

'Tuning the Musician' four-week course is based on the principles of the Alexander Technique, and designed to meet the needs of an amateur musician. Through simple experiments, we will experience how balance brings effortless tone, not too slack, not too tight and how the right tone has a direct effect on power and speed.

The course is 100% online (ZOOM) and includes 4 x 60 min group lessons. You don't need to have any prior knowledge about the Alexander Technique. The course is open for all instrumentalists and singers of all levels.
